God sold our boats… an vehicles too

What a crazy, beautiful season this has been — one that began with God’s simple but powerful word: “GO.”

We thought we knew what that meant. We had a plan — serve for six months, return home for charter season, earn some income, and then head back out to continue the ministry. It made perfect sense. But then, as He often does, God surprised us.

One morning, Tim was praying about what to do with our two boats. As he sought the Lord, God led him to Acts 5, where Ananias and Sapphira sold a piece of property but kept some back for themselves.

“But Peter said, ‘Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back part of the proceeds of the land?’” — Acts 5:3

When Tim read that passage, it wasn’t about judgment — it was about trust. He felt the Holy Spirit whisper, “Sell the boats and don’t keep a backup plan. Trust Me completely.”

And so we did.God sold our boats!

The First Miracle — The Panga

We owned two boats at that time. One was Tim’s 23-foot Panga — his main charter boat, fully outfitted for fishing and adventure. The other was a 24-foot Proline hull he had been lovingly rebuilding from the ground up.

After we prayed for the right buyers, it didn’t take long for God to move. Just a few mornings later, Tim received a text from a friend — a picture of a Panga and a simple question:

“Hey, how do these boats run? Thinking of buying one.”

Tim replied, “They run great — and mine’s for sale.”

His friend immediately texted back, “You’re selling your boat?!”

That moment opened the door for Tim to share the story of how God had called us to “GO” — and how we were stepping out in faith. That friend not only bought the boat for our asking price, but he also made a down payment on the spot — and then told Tim he could keep using it for charters right up until the month before we left in the camper.

Who gets a deal like that?Only with the favor of God!

The Second Miracle — The Proline

The Proline was a completely different story — but just as amazing. This one was down to the stringers, stripped to the bare bones. Tim had traded his beloved Jeep Wrangler for that hull a year or two earlier because he saw so much potential in it.

Shortly after posting it on Craigslist, a man contacted Tim looking for a Proline hull to rebuild. After a short conversation and minimal negotiation, the deal was sealed. Within hours, that boat and trailer were pulling out of our driveway — another clear sign that God was at work.

“Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act.” — Psalm 37:5

The Third Miracle — The Truck

And then came the truck.

We also owned a Dodge 1500 — an old, rugged truck with no dashboard, painted to match the color of our boat. One day, as Tim was praying, he asked the Lord, “Who needs this truck?” Immediately, the name Alex came to mind — a good friend who also ran charters.

Tim reached out to Alex several times, but each time, Alex said he didn’t need it. So Tim let it go.

Then, one morning, another acquaintance texted:

“Hey, I heard you have a truck for sale. I really need one.”

They worked out the details, and Tim delivered the truck — only a few streets away from where we lived. The new owner’s name was Alex!

We couldn’t help but laugh — the kind of laugh that comes from recognizing God’s fingerprints all over your story.

God’s Faithfulness in Every Step

Time and time again, we saw the hand of God and His unmistakable favor as we followed where He led. Each sale, each divine connection, each moment of provision reminded us that obedience always precedes blessing — and that when God says “GO,” He already has every detail worked out.

“The Lord will guide you always; He will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame.” — Isaiah 58:11

Looking back, we stand in awe of how God moved. What seemed like loss at first became proof of His faithfulness and the beginning of a much greater story.

He is faithful. He is trustworthy. And He always provides a way — even when the way seems impossible.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make straight your paths.” — Proverbs 3:5–6**
